How it works
Three steps to a reliable number.
Set the test
15, 30, 60 or 120 seconds, or any length from 10 seconds to 10 minutes. Words, numbers, punctuation, paragraphs, your own text or a long exam.
Type at your normal pace
The clock waits for your first key. Rotating the phone or connecting a keyboard mid-test keeps your progress.
Read the full breakdown
Net and gross WPM, accuracy, errors, characters and time, plus a percentile estimate and a personal-best note.
Features
Coaching that comes from your own numbers.
Honest scoring
Five characters count as one word, and each word is checked on its own, so a typo costs one word, not the whole line.
Daily target
Each day's goal is 90% of your best speed, reached with at least 90% accuracy in a test of 30 seconds or more.
Weekly trend
Your average this week compared with the week before, plus speed and accuracy charts for your last 30 tests.
Exam rehearsal
A long plain-text exam with no colour hints. Premium sets 5 to 30 minutes and can lock Backspace.
Your own material
Paste a sample exam or work document into My texts and get timed on exactly that. Six built-in languages.
Export for records
Premium keeps your full history and exports it as CSV for a spreadsheet.
Privacy
Your scores never leave your phone.
No account and no sign-up. Results and pasted texts stay on your device. The internet is used only for ads, Google Play purchases and anonymous usage and crash statistics. Read the privacy policy.
FAQ
Fair questions.
How is net WPM different from gross WPM?
Gross WPM counts everything you typed; net WPM counts only words typed correctly. Both use the standard five-characters-per-word rule.
What does the percentile mean?
It is an estimate of the share of typists you are faster than, based on a typical spread of typing speeds. It is a guide for self-improvement, not an official ranking.
Can I practise for a job typing test?
Yes. Use Paragraphs for sentence-based tests, Numbers for data entry, and Exam mode for long timed tests in plain text.
Will an ad interrupt my test?
No. Ads never appear on the typing screen or the result screen.
What does Premium add?
No ads, full history with CSV export, unlimited saved texts and custom exams of 5 to 30 minutes with Backspace and colour hints on or off. Monthly, yearly or a one-time lifetime purchase.
Which permissions does the app need?
Only internet access (for ads, purchases and anonymous usage and crash statistics) and vibration (for the optional wrong-key feedback). It does not use the Accessibility API, overlays, contacts, files or location.
